"I always spoke with friends of the meditative qualities of playing solo guitar. Even to strum one chord over and over again has a calming mantra-like effect on the player. These Meditations for 12-string guitar were derived from those moments of guitar practice. Not unlike Yoga (which is another "practice") with the guitar you find your center, use breathing techniques, stretch (your fingers at least) and transcend the moment, disconnecting with the problems of the world and reconnecting with something much larger. I hope these musical pieces bring you the same calm and reflection that I derive from playing them." Rob
